March Madness - and Much More!

The madness of March is finally here, with the beginning of the men’s and women’s NCAA basketball tournaments. Many of Michigan’s other teams are looking in good form.

St Patrick’s Day Events and Activities

St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) and the days around it are often a time when many in our community make plans to socialize and have fun. For many years, Beyond The Diag has worked with campus partners, including the Division of Public Safety and Security (DPSS) and Wolverine Wellness, to offer activities to provide some fun, alcohol-free engagement options and reduce the risk of harm.

March Forward - and Take Time to Pause

As winter starts to wind down, March marks a seasonal shift with longer days and the start of Daylight Saving Time. With these shifts, this time of year can also be an opportunity to pause, reflect, and set intentions for the remainder of the semester.

Expect Respect & Fostering Hope

The University of Michigan’s Expect Respect program exists to promote a campus culture rooted in care, inclusion, and accountability. At its core, that work is about creating the conditions where hope can thrive, not just as a feeling, but as a practice.

City of Ann Arbor ‘Junk Fee’ Ordinance

On February 2, 2026, the Ann Arbor City Council amended Section 8:532 of the City of Ann Arbor’s Housing Code. Section 8:532 was amended to establish rules and regulations for the transparency of rental fees in Ann Arbor.

As we head towards the end of the semester, things can get pretty hectic with finals, summer job hunting, and making plans for next year. It’s a busy season, but it’s also a time to look ahead with hope and set yourself up for a strong start.

Hoping for Spring? With spring comes the end of the semester and for many students, moving out of their housing and returning home.
