The start of fall means the start of so many fun activities, opportunities to connect, and resources that can help us all to thrive at U-M. Whether you’re new to the city or are returning to familiar surroundings, check out this month’s newsletter for lots of information, advice and great resources.

Whether you're living off-campus, in an apartment, or commuting from home, Michigan Dining is here for you.

Student Travel Insurance

The University of Michigan is committed to supporting all of our students in their study, research, conferences, and even extra-curricular experiences abroad as robustly as we can. U-M is able to provide support when students register their travel and enroll in travel abroad health insurance.

Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA)

SIBS is a year-long student coordinated peer mentorship program that is open to all students at the University of Michigan who are interested in learning about topics that affect the Black community, and it's dedicated to the retention and success of the students in the program.

Community Concerns Response Program

The Community Concerns Response Program wants to let you know that we are here to support you throughout the upcoming school year. We support students living off-campus individually and in groups and assist with responding to reported concerns at nearby off-campus housing locations.

Stay Safe: What to Do if You Find a Bat Indoors

As the new school year approaches, it’s important to know how to stay safe on campus–including how to handle encounters with wild animals. Rabies is a rare but serious disease that can be prevented by taking the right steps if you have close contact with animals such as bats, raccoons, skunks, and foxes.
