Welcome back, Wolverines! We hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer. As the new school year begins, it's a good time to reconnect with campus resources that can support your well-being and success.
Whether you’re in a new apartment or returning to the same place, adjusting to your environment or to new roommates can bring challenges. U-M offers many resources to help you navigate these transitions.
At Wolverine Wellness, we offer free one-on-one wellness coaching to help you build skills for your well-being. Topics can include managing stress or low mood, time management, sleep, life transitions, and more. If you could use some personalized help on your well-being, schedule a session with one of our wellness coaches today.
Staying active is a great way to boost your mood, energy, and focus. M Recreation provides access to gyms, fitness classes, and intramural sports, helping you stay physically and socially engaged. Sign up online to join a class or activity.
Participating in events helps you stay connected to people both inside and outside of U-M. Happening@Michigan lists upcoming events and lets you filter based on your interests. Find one that excites you and get involved.
The Maize and Blue Cupboard offers free groceries, as well as cookware and personal care items (when available), to students who may be experiencing food insecurity. Appointments are required; book your time online.
And if you find yourself in need of extra support for your mental well-being beyond the resources listed above, check out the Mental Health Continuum of Care on the Well-being Collective website. There are different levels of care and resources for wherever you are on your journey. No matter what, you’re not alone!
We’re glad you’re here and wish you a strong start to the semester. Go Blue!
