Winter Housing Fairs

Don’t miss out on Beyond The Diag’s in-person Winter Housing Fairs! Last semester, Beyond the Diag hosted two in-person Housing Fairs, which offered students an opportunity to connect with off-campus housing providers, to learn more about off-campus housing options and find out about support for students who live off-campus.

COVID-19 Updates

As part of the university’s continuing plan to keep our community safe, all staff, faculty, and students are required to report that they have received their COVID-19 booster.

DPSS Safety Updates

In order to promote a safe environment for all the students, faculty, and staff at the University of Michigan, it is important that we all remind ourselves of good safety practices in everyday life and in case of an emergency. Here is a reminder DPSS would like to share with all members within the UM community:

CSG Airbus for Spring Break

Central Student Government (CSG) provides a service to take students to and from the Detroit airport for certain breaks during the school year. The service runs between Ann Arbor and Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) during high-traffic times before and after scheduled University of Michigan student breaks.

This year, for Spring Break, CSG is planning to take students to the airport on Friday, February 25th. Return trips from the airport will occur on Sunday, March 6th. Pick up points at DTW are North and McNamara Terminals.

William Trotter Multicultural Center 50th Anniversary

The William Trotter Multicultural Center is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, marking an opportunity to reflect on the significant legacy and contribution of the Center and look towards the future. The Trotter Center was originally created as the Black Student Cultural Center to help students overcome educational barriers and it evolved into a space that nurtured student activism at UM. To honor its legacy, the Trotter Center is launching a new 50th year anniversary logo and a month-long social media campaign to inspire new activists on our campus.

Consent - It’s Not Optional

If you are in a relationship with another person and you think that you are ready to take things to the next level, there are a few steps you can take to ensure a pleasant experience for both you and your partner.

  1. Communicate with your partner. This seems like an easy first step, but many people struggle to talk with their partner about important changes in their relationship. When sex is involved, both parties need to discuss what they are comfortable with and what they may not be comfortable with.
