With the winter semester underway and classes in full swing, this month’s newsletter has some great information and resources for life on and off-campus at the beginning of this brand new year!
Hopefully the winter break was restful for you and you feel ready for the winter semester. Don’t forget to double-check your schedule, and look out for any buildings or locations that you may not have visited before.
In January 2025, the University will host the Martin Luther King, Jr Symposium, which will focus on the theme of restless dissatisfaction and the urgent call for the pursuit of justice and equality. The symposium will feature the 39th Annual Keynote Memorial Lecture on January 20, delivered by Erika Alexander.
Hot on the heels of some big wins for Michigan teams over the winter break, there is a full schedule in January for when you can see our Wolverines in action!
This is the biggest student organization fair of the winter semester, spread over three days and will feature over 90 student orgs. This is a great opportunity to learn more about different organizations and find places to connect.
This year’s folk festival will take place on January 24 and 25, at Hill Auditorium. The Festival will feature a variety of renowned and up-and-coming artists, and is the largest annual fundraising effort for The Ark, Ann Arbor’s non-profit home for folk, roots, and acoustic music.
A person’s money story shapes their thoughts and decisions about earning, spending, and saving money. CEW+ is hosting a series of workshops designed to explore your money story, financial wellness and how to make confident financial decisions.
With the start of winter semester, there are many great opportunities that are available through Rec Sports. All are great ways to achieve your fitness and well-being goals, meet new friends and do something nice for yourself!
The new year is a perfect time to self-reflect and set goals for yourself. These goals can range from mental health, relationships, work, and fitness, to anything you think will be best for you.
