St Patrick’s Day celebrations

We are enjoying the early arrival of spring, and with it comes a whole range of important events and celebrations. St. Patrick’s Day is an important date for socializing for many students, and we know there are a whole variety of ways to celebrate and spend time with friends. We also recognize that this is a day traditionally associated with increased use of alcohol and other drugs, and we want to encourage you to Stay in the Blue if you’re planning to celebrate. Stay in the Blue offers some really helpful tips on how to stay safe if consuming alcohol (and other drugs), as well as an easy way to keep track of your drinks.

Alongside this, teams across the university are working together to offer opportunities to engage, connect, have fun and pick up all kinds of goodies! In the days leading up to St. Patrick’s Day weekend, Wolverine Wellness will be hosting Stay in the Blue pop-up stations, where you can pick up the latest version of their student Well Packs. On March 16 and 17 Beyond The Diag will be hosting the traditional Stay in the Blue Bagel event on the Diag from 10:00am to 1:00pm. It’s a great opportunity to pick up a bagel, grab some swag, and learn more about how to stay safe while celebrating.

Last but not least, the Center for Campus Involvement (CCI) has a fun celebration event at the Michigan Union, 6-8pm, on Saturday, March 16. The event will include food, giveaways, games, tie-dye, and even an Irish dancing workshop! Click here for more info.
