Are you a passionate Michigan Junior, Senior, or Graduate student who has experience of living off-campus? Are you looking for an opportunity to inform student-centered change for off-campus programming, housing and support?
If this is you, consider applying to join the Beyond The Diag Students Advisory Board.
This new Board, established this year, will provide feedback and a student perspective to the Program Manager of Beyond The Diag. Throughout the academic year, regular meetings encourage discussion on new initiatives and emergent issues, and an opportunity to share your student experience. The Board's recommendations help to influence program goals, services, and overall effectiveness.
The Advisory Board is comprised of undergraduate and graduate students, including students enrolled in Michigan's professional schools (ie: Law, Social Work). Each student brings a unique voice and perspective to the table. In addition, the Advisory Board may also welcome guest speakers to participate in meetings, such as Student Life staff members, University officials, and members of the local community.
If you believe in helping to improve the Michigan Experience for off-campus student, and would like to be involved, please consider applying for next year's Advisory Board.
Application Process
Advisory Board members are selected through an application and interview process. Deadline for applications is Friday, February 24, 2023. Interviews will be held in March, with final decisions for the board made by the end of Winter semester.
