Stress Relief Craft Break

As the weather cools off and finals approach, the stress and snow can start to pile up and feel pretty heavy. Sometimes it takes a break - whether with friends and family or just a little Netflix in the background - to get you back on your feet and working to your fullest potential. So whether you haven’t started exams, are right in the thick of them, or have just closed your final blue book, don’t forget to take a few minutes for yourself to enjoy the season with these fun and festive classics!

  • Gingerbread House: A necessity for every winter holiday season, gingerbread houses range from quick and simple to detailed, intricate, and complex. You can make them from scratch, from one kit or another, or even without any food at all - it’s all up to you! But no matter how you decide to decorate, your gingerbread house is sure to be a one-of-a-kind decoration (or dessert!) to spruce up your house, apartment, or dorm room this December.

  • Paper Snowflakes: You know them, you love them, you’ve been making them since you were a kid, but maybe it’s been a while since paper snowflakes have crossed your mind. With a few new tips and some great inspiration, you can make some beautiful decorations for a party or even just a solo study night in. And if you’re too sick of the snow to possibly want any more, try using colorful construction paper to help brighten up your room instead!

  • Peppermint Bark: If you’ve got quite a sweet tooth and love to snack in the wintery weather, making some quick and easy peppermint bark may be up your alley. And if you don’t have peppermint extract laying around your house, you can even leave it out for a simpler three-ingredient version - the candy canes add plenty of minty flavor. This classic holiday treat breaks up into pieces easily, so it’s always fun to share - if you don’t eat it all yourself!
