Cookies, Hot Chocolate, and Rice Krispies Oh My!

Starting with Thanksgiving, the holidays are full of fun festivities and family events. However, for many of us, it can also be hectic with finals and trying to enjoying the season. When you are able to take a study break, here are some great treats to make for a party, use as a gift, or to simply relax and enjoy with friends!

Snowmen Cookies

What you’ll need:

  1. Your favorite premade cookie dough
  2. White icing
  3. Marshmallows
  4. Icing gel

Step One: The easiest way to make this quick treat is to use pre-made cookie dough! Each type varies with instructions so make sure to check the package.

Step Two:  Melt white icing to drizzle over the cookie. While the icing is still soft add the marshmallow so it will stick.

Step Three: Once the frosting is cooled use the icing gel to decorate however you like!

Homemade Peppermint Hot Chocolate

  1. 2 cups of milk
  2. 2 cups of heavy cream
  3. 1.5 cups of chocolate chips
  4. ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  5. ½ teaspoon of peppermint extract
  6. Whipped cream
  7. Crushed peppermint

Step One: Warm the milk and cream over the stove until it is steaming. Once it is hot pour it into a bowl with the chocolate chips and extract. Continue mixing until all the chocolate chips are melted.

Step Two: Once the hot chocolate is made and read to serve, pour it into a mug and add whipped cream with crushed peppermint on top!
