Restorative justice is a set of principles primarily rooted in the beliefs and practices of indigenous peoples from New Zealand, South Africa, and North America. Restorative justice focuses on the harm that was done and how best to repair the relationship, giving as much autonomy to the person harmed as possible. It prioritizes human relationships, and centers reciprocation and balance from willing participants. Would you like to learn more about restorative justice on our campus?
