As the fall semester settles into a rhythm, many students can find this a more challenging time. Common concerns could include relationships stress as well as anxiety around understanding self and others. To support students, CAPS has created several support groups that allow students to seek a supportive group environment facilitated by a CAPS professional.
These group support options (therapy groups; support groups; drop-in-groups) at CAPS are one of the signature clinical services that students really value and appreciate. Many groups are starting soon and filling up fast, including some that start in the next few weeks.
This fall, 20 clinical workshops are being offered, including lunch series and therapy/support groups focused on many common student concerns. Some offerings are unique to the University of Michigan community, and all are focused on what students have said is most beneficial.
If interested in joining a group, please get more information at the CAPS website by following this link. If you are currently getting services at CAPS, please speak to your clinician about if a referral to a group is appropriate.
