Washtenaw Alive and its "R U OK?" Suicide Prevention Task Force is pleased to announce a new campaign addressing the mental health needs of the students in our community. Surveys tell us that 16% of students have contemplated suicide at one time in their life and that 36% suffer from depression at times during the year. That is why must work together to reach out to those who are hurting. Together, we can make a difference!
The R U OK? website provides ample information and resources for students who face any number of issues from eating disorders to thoughts of suicide. You can also check out their YouTube account for engaging videos.
