Spring & Summer Shenanigans in Ann Arbor

Spring and summer terms in Ann Arbor offer a completely different experience of the city from the Fall and Winter semesters. Since many students leave over the summer, there are certainly less people walking around campus and going to class. However, the city has two major events over the summer: The Ann Arbor Summer Festival (A2SF for short) and the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair. Additionally, the Nichols Arboretum is full of trails to run and places to have a picnic. Argo and Gallup Parks both offer canoe and kayak rentals, as well as other summer activities. Additionally, Gallup Park hosts Huron River Day every year in July. For the Fourth of July, there are multiple events in the area as well.

Additionally, check out Blank Slate Creamery for delicious, organic, and unique ice cream. With flavors ranging from Blackberry Riesling to Bananas Foster (my personal favorite), they are picking up popularity in their second year of operations! Finally, don’t forget the Real Madrid v. Chelsea soccer game taking place on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 3 PM.

Enjoy your summer here in Ann Arbor- make it one to remember!
