It's Not Too Late For a Meal Plan

With such demanding schedules, it can be difficult to find time to go grocery shopping and even more challenging to figure out when you can cook everything before it all goes bad. If you’re tired of spending your time worrying about food, getting an off-campus meal plan might be a good option for you. There are many different meal plans available for off-campus students depending on how often you want to eat in a dining hall. Perhaps you only want to eat at the dining hall a couple times a week, or maybe you want to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner there. Regardless, there’s a plan for that! These plans also include dining dollars, which can be used at various food vendors on campus.

If a meal plan is not the best option for you, but you still don’t want to worry about bringing your wallet when you go to Beanster’s or Panda Express in the Michigan Union, you can purchase Blue Bucks. Blue Bucks are loaded onto your Mcard, which can then be used like a gift card at any on-campus location, including dining halls, vending machines, laundry rooms, etc. The best part is they are refundable and never expire.

If you don’t purchase a meal plan but you find your favorite food on the menu, you can always purchase single meals at any dining hall. The entry fee ranges from $8.50 - $15.20 depending on which meal of the day you attend. You may also pay with Blue Bucks, which would lower the price. Check out the Dining Hall Single Meal Prices for more details.

Trying to focus on school is hard when you’re hungry. If you’re considering purchasing a meal plan, you have until January 18th to purchase a meal plan online. After January 18th you can email [email protected] to set one up.
