Will you have unwanted furniture, household goods, or other items from your apartment or house at the end of your lease? Many students living in off-campus housing find themselves saddled with these items in perfectly good condition and nowhere to send them other than landfill.
That changes now!
The Planet Blue Student Leaders, in collaboration with Goodwill Industries of Southeast Michigan, are sponsoring the first ever U-M Collection Program for students living in rental properties. In early May, and potentially August too if there's sufficient demand, Goodwill will be on-hand to collect your unwanted items right from the curb outside your property.
Right now, the team is looking to gather initial interest data. If you're even remotely interested in participating in the collection in either May or August, please complete a brief interest survey. Planet Blue Student Leaders will be in touch with you in the coming weeks to share more details and collect final item counts.
