Distanced, but not disconnected

Dean of Students Office

The Dean of Students Office (DoS) is often a great place to start when seeking advice, support, information or assistance from the university. The four main areas of work are:

  • Promote a safe, respectful, healthy and inclusive campus community

  • Enhance students’ Michigan experience

  • Provide support services and manage critical incidents impacting students and the campus community

  • Respond to emerging needs within the student population

If you would like some assistance, or more information about the work of DoS, please call 734-764-7420.

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)

Taking care of mental health has never been more important than it is right now. Although services are completely virtual, CAPS is still available to students from 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. To reach the CAPS virtual front desk, send an email to [email protected]. For urgent matters outside of these hours, CAPS After Hours Urgent Support can be reached at 734-764-8312. Visit the CAPS website (https://caps.umich.edu/) for more information and helpful online resources!

On weekdays, the Cupboard is open 3pm - 7pm. Saturday and Sunday it is open noon - 3pm. Click here for more details.
