COVID-19 updates for Winter semester

Many new safety measures and additional resources have been developed to protect and support U-M students, faculty and staff during Winter Term:

ResponsiBLUE app

All community members who need to enter U-M buildings are  required to show their ResponsiBLUE results. Please note that if you are an Undergraduate student who falls into one of the following categories, you are required to complete a weekly CSTP asymptomatic test as part of our updated safety measures.

This is for Undergraduate students who are:

  • Living in Michigan Housing

  • Registered for in-person courses that meet on-campus (regardless of how frequently the course meets in-person)

  • Employed in a position that requires coming to campus

  • Conducting research in an on-campus facility/building

  • Coming to campus to use facilities (eg: libraries, Unions, Rec Sports, dining)

The ResponsiBLUE app for Undergraduate students will show that your testing status is complete and up-to-date. If you have received a positive test result, or your most recent CSTP test result has expired, you will not receive a “green check” in ResponsiBLUE, and will not be able enter U-M buildings. Please note that there is approximately a two-hour delay between completing your CSTP testing, and your testing status being updated to “Completed” in ResponsiBLUE. Please also note that ResponsiBLUE does not disclose test results - you will receive an email with your test results from LynxDX 48-72 hours after your test.

Weekly Testing

U-M’s free weekly COVID-19 testing program is available for all students, faculty and staff on the Ann Arbor campus and meets the mandatory testing requirements for undergraduates who live, learn, work, and/or access buildings/facilities on campus.

LEARN ABOUT WEEKLY TESTING Vaccinations

Michigan Medicine began offering COVID-19 vaccinations to frontline essential workers, as well as employees and established patients who are 65 or older on Jan. 11. All U-M employees and students who want to be vaccinated against COVID-19 are urged to complete the university’s Blue Queue questionnaire and create a health portal account.
