As we kick-off a year of new beginnings, we wanted to remind you of the many great opportunities that are available through Michigan Recreation. There are so many great ways to achieve your fitness and well-being goals, meet new friends and bring some balance and fun to your life.
As students you have free unlimited access to our facilities. This includes the Intramural Sports Building (IMSB), North Campus Recreation Building (NCRB) and Palmer Field Temporary Facility. In terms of fitness options, Group-X classes are currently available at a reduced rate. There are also Specialized Group Training classes and Personal Training. This is a great opportunity to try out a variety of classes, so check out the class schedule and sign up!
If team sports are your passion we have that covered as well. We have 30 Club Sports teams who compete for national championships against colleges and universities from across the country. If you are looking for competition but something a little more casual, Intramural Sports might be a good fit. There are a variety of sports available, including basketball, volleyball, futsal, pickleball, euchre and many more. You can create your own team or look to join a team by signing up as a free agent. If you are interested in video gaming, check out the Esports community for great fun and competition.
If you might like a little more adventure in your life and a chance to connect with nature, check out Adventure Leadership. There are a variety of winter trips throughout the semester—everything from dogsledding to winter stargazing, all in our beautiful state of Michigan.
Warm up this winter term with your friends from Michigan Recreation and move your way to well-being!
