This December, the Division of Public Safety and Security wishes you all a warm and safe end to the year. As part of this, there are some easy ways to do your part in taking care of our community:
DPSS Donation Drive with the Maize & Blue Cupboard
On Wednesday, December 10 at the Maize & Blue Cupboard and Thursday, December 11 at the Northwood Community Center, you can make a meaningful difference for those in need, by donating food and other household items. Helpful donations include
- Shelf-stable food
- Ready-to-eat proteins
- Kitchen essentials
- Toiletries
- Personal hygiene items
- Holiday treats
U-M Emergency Alerts
Now that winter has well and truly arrived, please take some time to get familiar with how to stay safe in the event of a blizzard or ice storm. In the event of bad weather, look for U-M Emergency Alerts and messaging from the National Weather Service. Sign up for the U-M Public Safety app for weather alerts and other public safety messages. You can also visit the DPSS website for additional guidance and tips for staying safe during inclement weather, as well as how to be safe during other types of emergencies.
Thank you for helping to make Fall 2025 a great semester, and for doing your part to keep our community safe and secure.
