Future Alumni Scholarship Opportunity

The University of Michigan has one of the largest, most engaged and most impactful alumni networks in the world. Our alumni are represented in positions of national leadership and policy-making, as well as every level of organizational management and influence. The university’s Alumni Association does exceptional work in maintaining these connections between alumni, as well as with the university as a whole, for the continued benefit of the university community.

 

The Alumni Association is therefore excited to announce the launch of the Future Alumni of Michigan (FAM) Scholars program, which is specifically focused on increasing enrollment from low- to moderate-income students, including and especially first-generation students.

 

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be admitted first-year undergraduate students
  • Must have a family income of no more than $150k/year
  • Priority will be given to (but is not limited to) first-generation students

 

Scholarship Details

  • Provides assistance towards the cost of attendance (tuition, housing, food, and other supplies)
  • Students in 2026 cohort will receive $5,000 for the academic year
  • Scholarships are renewable for four years - eight consecutive semesters - by maintaining good academic standing.
