Office of Student Conflict Resolution (OSCR)

When people think of November, they often think of community, whether it be a gathering like Thanksgiving (or Friendsgiving!), getting cozy around a fireplace mantle with your loved ones, or beginning to set up holiday decorations early for those who celebrate. Because of this, November is often associated with feelings of comfort, safety, and warmth through spending time with those closest to you.

Even among the most tight-knit of groups and the longest of friendships, conflicts may arise. It could be differing opinions, opposing priorities or miscommunication errors. It is important to note that in these situations we should not view this conflict as something to avoid, but rather as an opportunity to bring individuals closer together, even if it involves a bit of disagreement and discomfort.

To help navigate these complex feelings and situations, OSCR is a community resource for students to aid them with conflict resolution. We are open-minded and active listeners, eager to serve as student advocates to bring the community together. Wishing you all a thankful November! To reach out, contact us at [email protected].
