Need to park in or around U-M Campus?  You have come to the right spot!  Below is a compiled list of various resources that will help you navigate parking based on location, budget, time and more!

UM Logics, Transportation and Parking Website

Free parking – City & U-M- AAATA & UM Shuttle

AAATA Park & Ride Lots – park free & ride buses free

U-M’s North-East Shuttle runs Mon. – Fri., 6:15 am – 8:15 pm, every 15 mins

  • Green Rd. – served by both AAATA  & U-M bus routes
  • Plymouth Rd./US-23 – served by both AAATA & U-M bus routes
  • Miller Rd. – served by AAATA buses
  • Pioneer High School – served by AAATA buses
  • S.State St. – served by AAATA bus

 

U-M lots – FREE when un-enforced

  • North Campus – most lots un-enforced after 5:00 pm, excluding University Housing lots
  • Central Campus – Most lots are unenforced after 5:00 or 6:00 pm
    • Church St. structure & Palmer Dr. structure – students can obtain free after-hours access (Mon. – Sat., 5:00 pm – 6:00am; open on Sun.) to these structures by emailing a request at the beginning of each permit year (starting in July) to [email protected]; LTP will then program their Mcard to swipe at structure’s entrance & exit. If you had access last school year, there is no need to send another request this year.

 

Paid parking – U-M

  • Student Orange Permit- $88 per yr. 
    • Juniors, Seniors & Grad. Students
    • North Campus Orange lots & South/Athletic Campus Orange lots
  • Student After-Hours - $72 per yr.
    • Access to Blue Permit parking; Mcard programmed
    • Mon.-Fri., 3:00 pm – 5:00 am, Weekends – 24 hrs. (except Forest Street Parking Structure and P4)
    • Students can park free during the day at a Park & Ride lot; then move their car to a Blue or Yellow lot after 3:00 pm.
  • Student Yellow/After-Hours - $247 per yr.
    • Yellow or Orange parking – during the day – any North Campus or South Campus lot/structure (except NC40)
    • Blue parking – Mon.-Fri., 3:00 pm – 5:00 am, Weekends – 24 hrs. (except Forest Street Parking Structure and P4)
  • Student Storage
    • $244 per yr. Waitlist currently for these permits: 
    • North Campus – NC32 – 50 space
    • South Campus – S. State St. Commuter Lot – 80 spaces

 

Ann Arbor Public Parking Meters 

  • Enforced Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. unless otherwise stated on the meter or central pay station
  • Cost is $2.40/hour
  • Free on evenings, Sundays and all holidays observed by City of Ann Arbor employees.
