Go Blue, Beat the Flu (and COVID, too)!

As flu season approaches, it's essential to make sure you’re prepared. If you haven't already, consider visiting one of the vaccination clinics around campus. In addition to flu shots, more and more clinics offer COVID-19 shots. Drop-in clinics are available all over campus until December. Remember to wear loose clothing and bring your UMID and insurance cards, including your prescription insurance card. If your health insurance does not cover vaccinations or you are not using insurance, the out-of-pocket cost for a flu shot is $44. The out-of-pocket cost for COVID-19 vaccinations will be posted on the Health Response website when available.

In addition to getting vaccinated, taking other preventive measures is crucial to staying healthy this respiratory illness season. These include frequently washing your hands, avoiding public spaces when you feel unwell, and covering your sneezes and coughs with your elbow.

A detailed schedule of the vaccine clinics can be found here and respiratory health tips can be found here.
