Fall and Rec Sports

Welcome back!

As we head into fall, we want to update you on the many great opportunities that are available through Rec Sports. All are great ways to achieve your fitness and well-being goals, meet new friends and do something positive for yourself.

As students you have free unlimited access to our facilities. This includes the Intramural Sports Building (IMSB), North Campus Recreation Building (NCRB) and Palmer Field Temporary Facility. We also offer Group-X and Specialized Group Training classes as well as Personal Training. All are led by our certified instructors.

If team sports are your passion we have several offerings there, too. We have 30 Club Sports teams who compete for national championships against colleges and universities from around the country. If you are looking for competition but something a little more casual Intramurals Sports would be a great match for you. We offer a variety of sports including flag football, soccer, sand volleyball, kickball, pickleball, cornhole and many more. You can create your own team or if you are looking for a team you can sign up as a free agent and we will place you on a team. If video gaming is your thing check out Esports where you will find a community of fun and competition.

Think you might like a little more adventure in your life and a chance to connect with nature? Check out the offerings with our Adventure Leadership group located at our beautifully wooded Adventure Education Center on Dixboro Road. They offer a variety of trips throughout the semester—everything from meditative nature walks in the Arboretum to rock climbing to camping and hiking in our beautiful state of Michigan.  And if you would like to create your own adventure, they have gear you can rent at our Rental Center. If you are looking for a team building opportunity for your study group or student organization, then consider connecting with our Adventure Leadership Team. Our Adventure Education Center features low and high ropes courses as well as other fun and interactive ways to really get your team working together better.

Have a great fall as you move your way to well-being!
