Although the football season has now concluded, there are plenty of other athletics events taking place across the winter semester including ice hockey, basketball, gymnastics, and many other sports. These events all offer a great opportunity to see our student athletes in action. Colleagues in our Division of Public Safety and Security (DPSS) want to share some reminders if you’re planning to support our Wolverine athletes. When purchasing tickets ahead of time, please follow the guidelines below to avoid being a victim of ticket fraud:
- If a seller claims to be a U-M student, email their @umich.edu email account to verify their authenticity
- The only authorized seller/reseller of U-M athletics tickets is SeatGeek
- Use payment methods that come with protection. Avoid CashApp, Venmo, and Zelle
- Avoid buying tickets that do not include the block, row, and seat details
