As summer comes to a close, the University of Michigan is welcoming back many students and welcoming a new class for the first time! To welcome these students to campus, the University of Michigan is hosting a whole range of exciting and engaging activities and events across Central and North Campuses, as part of the Welcome to Michigan program. Here’s a small selection of some of the events taking place:
Escapade (Saturday August 26; 8:00 - 11:00 p.m.)
Get to know the Michigan Union - enjoy snacks, music and roller skating on Saturday August 26, and an opportunity to get know to the building, the spaces available to you, and the various offices and departments that can provide support and assistance.
Festifall (Tuesday August 29 - North Campus and Wednesday August 30 - Central Campus )
On the Diag (Central Campus) and The Grove (North Campus) - a great opportunity to learn about and get connected to hundreds of student organizations, as they share information about their work around campus!
Student Kick-Off Rally (Thursday August 31; 7:30 p.m.)
Come see the Big House and practice the gameday traditions with your fellow students!
Party in the Park (Monday September 4; 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.)
Taking place on North Campus, Party in the Park is a great opportunity for students living off-campus to connect with each other, and learn more about some of the support and resources available on campus. The event will include food, live music, prizes, games and good times!

Off Campus Events
If you are curious about venturing off campus, there are always fun things happening in the city.
On Thursday August 24 and Thursday August 31, the final two A2 Summer Streets Thursday Night Music events will be held from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. with local musicians performing around Main Street and some special deals from downtown businesses.
In Kerrytown, the Ann Arbor Farmers Market occurs every Wednesday and Saturday 7am-3pm offering fresh produce and items from local shops and eateries.
The third Wednesday of September and October will also feature Food Truck Rallies from 5pm-8pm with over 20 local food trucks to choose from.
