Welcome to Michigan

Now that September has officially arrived, and students have returned to classes, we’re excited for a new academic year to get started!

Whether you are a returning student who knows your way around Ann Arbor like the back of your hand, a transfer student acclimating to a new campus, or an incoming freshman that is trying to navigate the academic rigor of college while also learning how to live in a new environment, it is an exciting new beginning for us all.

This year’s Welcome to Michigan events and activities have been hugely popular, with a variety of programs taking place all over campus (and off campus). We have seen record attendance for many events, including Escapade and the movie nights. The Block M photo had so many people show up that they had to take two pictures! For a full list of events, visit the Welcome to Michigan program page.

For the second year, Party in the Park took place as an opportunity for off-campus students to enjoy great food, music, games and prizes, and also learn about some of the valuable resources provided by campus partners.

Partners who joined the event included DPSS, Intergroup Relations, Maize & Blue Cupboard, and Wolverine Wellness. If you would like to learn more about these programs and the support and resources that are available to students, please visit their websites for information, or contact Beyond The Diag to ask for additional details.
