Take to the scenic streets of North Campus on Saturday, October 22, 2022, to help raise awareness about domestic violence and to help the community recognize this issue with the 8th running of the Purple Run Ann Arbor! The event is taking place on North Campus at the Duderstadt Center, starting at 9am.
The Purple Run is a fun 5K walk/run event sponsored by UMPD, AAPD, and the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's office. All proceeds from the event go directly to SafeHouse Center, a local non-profit organization that offers free and confidential resources and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. There is strength in numbers, and we are so excited that you want to join us and make a statement to survivors that there is support in our community!
In Washtenaw County, law enforcement and advocates work very closely with one another and, whether it is on active cases or community events, we are actively engaged in protecting and safe-guarding the public. The Purple Run is much more than a fundraiser. Our goal is to raise awareness about Domestic Violence and to help the community recognize this issue affects all of us.
If you would like to take part in this year’s Purple Run, the entry prices are as follows:
Tickets are for sale online, including a t-shirt and a completion souvenir:
