After twenty long months, the renovations to the Union are finally complete. Inside the Union you will find everything from places to study, shop, and eat to places to gather and work. If you are in the mood for a good study session, check out one of the cozy study spaces furnished with a toasty fireplace. You can find these study spaces in the Willis Ward and South Lounges. If an upbeat, active environment is more your pace, check out the MUG, or the Michigan Union Underground, for a more buzzing atmosphere.
The newly renovated Union also contains many places to shop and eat. If you need a snack to-go, check out the Blue Market or grab a warm beverage at Sweetwater’s Coffee & Tea. If you are still hustling for last minute school supplies, retailers like Barnes & Noble and the Tech Shop are also located in the Union. The Union will soon be home to Panera Bread, Panda Express, Taco Bell, MI Burger, Subway, and Mama DeLuca’s Pizza.
In addition to food, the Union is a great place to gather. There are several lounges and a courtyard with natural light.
