As fall kicks in and you’re settling into your classes, it’s important to figure out where to grab lunch. Don’t stress! MDining offers a variety of meal plans for off-campus students to help you take the guesswork out of what to cook (and how all those dishes will get washed). If a meal plan is too much of a commitment, you can opt to add Blue Bucks to your account to receive a discounted rate into any of our seven dining halls. Questions? Send them over to [email protected]

If you are looking for some extra cash, Michigan Dining offers a variety of student job opportunities, from baristas, food service workers, sustainability interns, student management roles, and more, all starting at $15 an hour. With MDining, you can find something you like to do that’s close to home, and you can choose when you want to work! Our hours are flexible, with shift premiums for any shift starting at 5pm or on the weekends, and you get a free meal with any 3 hour shift!

For example, you can volunteer or work at our Maize and Blue Cupboard! We have fundraising opportunities for student organizations as well! The Maize and Blue Cupboard, located at 420 S State St (the basement of the Betsy Barbour Residence Hall), is here for any student, staff, or faculty member facing food insecurity or inaccessibility, and our website has tips and recipe ideas for cooking on a budget! Check out our hours and North Campus distribution days on our website.

Whether you’re dining on campus, working with us, have a class project that we can help with, or want to fundraise and volunteer for the Maize and Blue Cupboard, Michigan Dining is here to support you!
