Fall in Ann Arbor

There are some fun and festive Fall traditions that can help get us in the mood for this wonderful season. Here are just a few ideas for things you could try:

Hit up a cider mill

Dexter’s Cider Mill , which credits itself as being the oldest in the state, is a great place to get your fill of cider, donuts, caramel apples, and more! For a comprehensive fall fun experience, you could also check out Wiard’s Orchards, which includes a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, corn maze, and plenty of other family-friendly activities.

Pick and carve a pumpkin

Ann Arbor has no shortage of pumpkin patches! You can find your future jack-o-lantern at DeBucks Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch, Wing Farms, or Wasem Fruit Farm. Slow Farm is another great option, and all of their products are certified organic!

Visit a haunted house

Grab a warm jacket, some friends, and get ready to be scared. Night Terrors and Hush Haunted Attraction are both nearby and offer up a night of spooky, scary fun. If you’re up for a drive, Jackson’s Underworld and Erebus are some other great options!

Watch a spooky movie

Whether you head to Cinemark to enjoy the new Halloween movie, to State Theater to watch Beetlejuice, or to Michigan Theater for a showing of Hocus Pocus, Ann Arbor has plenty of fall favorites playing this season!

Bask in the beauty of fall

There is no better place to watch the leaves change than “Tree Town”. Grab your pumpkin spice latte from Common Cup, Avalon, or Starbucks, and head over to the Arb for a great view of the fall foliage. And after dark, don’t forget to visit YpsiGlow for a night of music, art, and dancing.
