The SPARTANS are Coming!

It’s always fun to get hyped up for big rivalry games, especially for those students with friends coming from the rivaling university. However, on such occasions like these, it is important to keep a few things in mind.

Be a representative of the University of Michigan, and of Ann Arbor.

This is our school, our city, and better yet, this is our hoMe. Choose to be a proper representative of your university. We’re all wearing Maize and Blue together, and we should represent those colors with the respect and honor that they deserve. Give it. Get it. Expect Respect.

You’ve heard it before, and you’ll hear it again, Stay in the Blue!

Staying in the Blue on Game Days is always important! The UMPD and AAPD will be out in full force to keep the peace, watch for safety concerns, and make sure everyone is having a safe game day, therefore, staying in the blue is in your best interest! If you choose to drink, download the Stay in the Blue app, keep an eye out for your friends, drink water in between drinks, and make sure you stop for some lunch before the game!

Vandalism is vandalism; it is illegal, no matter where you go to school or what day it is.

In emotionally charged games such as this one will be, it’s possible for things to get out of hand. However, vandalism is never the answer. The “willful and malicious destruction of property” is charged as a misdemeanor or a serious felony, depending on the amount of damage. Also, remember to protect yourself from theft and vandalism, the city and streets will be extremely populated! Lock your doors and windows, keep your valuables (and couches) out of sight, and if one of your possessions has been broken or vandalized, do not hesitate to call the police.

Have a fun and safe game day- Let’s Go Blue!
