March Radness 2016 Events

With St. Patrick’s Day 2016 right around the corner, it’s time to find out what Ann Arbor has to offer for holiday fun. From running for a good cause to relaxing with some music and culture to creating a masterpiece, Ann Arbor is swimming with opportunities this March 17th. Take a little time to try something new or revisit a favorite pastime this St. Patrick’s Day – you won’t regret it! And who knows? You might just discover a new A2 activity!

  • Get some exercise and help a good cause – At the Shamrocks and Shenanigans 5k run/walk on March 13th, be a part of something great this season as you keep up your New Year’s Resolution while raising money for the Congenital Heart Center at C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital

  • Become an artist – At Trotter Multicultural Center’s Paint No Pour event from 6-8 p.m. on March 17th, have a great time painting with friends both new and old. This completely free event will provide art supplies along with the makings for a great time as you try out a new skill or hone your artistic talents

  • Kick back and enjoy some music – Check The Ark’s calendar to find out about upcoming singers and bands – from March 13th’s free Shape Note Singing event to performers Star & Micey, Darlingside, and more over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, The Ark’s schedule is packed full of talent just waiting for you

  • Learn something new from a special guest – come see artist Ernst Karel present his film project, Ah humanity!, at the Work Gallery at 3 p.m. on March 17th in a joint effort with the 54th Annual Ann Arbor Film Festival (another great spot to stop by this month!)

  • Check out a St. Patrick’s Day-themed Umix from 10 p.m.-2 a.m. on March 18th-19th!

  • "March Calmness" presented by the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood and Body Peace Corps brings you stress relief, free food, and wellness resources.

And remember, wherever you are and whatever you do this St. Patrick’s Day, stay safe and legal. You are the best you there is, so be sure to have fun while staying true and staying blue.
