COVID-19 - vaccine update

As we begin to enjoy warmer weather, and a fall semester plan with more in-person classes and activities, it is vital that we remain vigilant against COVID-19. The University of Michigan wants students and faculty to “not miss their shot” to receive the vaccine, especially now that it is available to all persons aged 16 and older in the state of Michigan. Information has been added to the Campus Blueprint website providing details on how and where to to receive your vaccine. There are now multiple opportunities to receive your vaccine on and around the Ann Arbor campus, but available slots are filling quickly. You will need to ensure you have completed the Blue Queue questionnaire, and will then be able to check availability, using the information on the vaccine information page.

Appointments as follows:

April 15 & 16 - Meijer Pharmacy, 3145 Ann Arbor-Saline Road, Ann Arbor. Click here to register

April 17-20 - Michigan Stadium. Participants will be chosen from individuals registered on the Blue Queue.

Following the recent announcement from the CDC regarding the J&J (Janssen) vaccine, these appointments will now offer the Pfizer two-dose vaccine. Normal safety protocols will be in place at all of these locations, including use of face masks, social distancing, and availability of hand sanitizer.

Please note that walk-in appointments will NOT be available at these locations, and only individuals with scheduled appointments will be able to attend. This is to maintain social distancing, and also to ensure that no doses of vaccine are wasted. If you are no longer able to attend an appointment you have booked, please make sure you cancel it, so the slot can be offered to someone else.

Don’t miss your shot - each one counts!
