No Shave November for Consent

Throughout the month of November, the Men’s Activism Committee from SAPAC will be promoting No Shave November for Consent. What is No Shave November and what does that have to do with consent? At the beginning of the month, you have the opportunity to take a pledge saying that throughout the month you will learn more   about sexual assault and consent. As a part of this pledge, you do not shave your beard in the hopes that you can use it to start conversations and tell people about the pledge and sexual assault and consent. If you cannot grow a beard, that’s ok!

You can also participate by using merchandise items, such as pins or bracelets, to identify yourself as an ally and start conversations in the place of facial hair. To sign the pledge, join the Men’s Activism Committee in the Diag on November 2nd from 11a.m. to 3p.m. for a water-pong tournament, candy, free merchandise for the first pledges signed, free condoms, and a raffle to win Michigan gear. No Shave November will also include a football tournament on November 23rd. To learn more, check out the link here!
